Breaking out of the musical hotpot of Detroit comes the 21 year old Jimmy Edgar. The young prodigy has been producing beats for ten years, inspired by jazz, funk, street beat, r&b, techno and no doubt the success of the Detroit techno pioneers and the vibey music scene that surrounded him. His informal musical training was kicked off playing in experimental bands: strings, sax, percussion, whatever instruments were lying around. By the age of 15 he was playing along side Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson and Derrick May at the legendary Detroit raves.
Jimmy has already released two full length records, the first under the moniker Kristuit Salu Vs Morris Nightingale via the cult Miami label M3rck Records and the second using the name Michaux through audio.nl. Inbetween times he's studied fashion and design and has set up his own design company "E'Fa'Min Fashion.
Now signed to Warp Records and with two critically acclaimed EPs on the label, Jimmy plans to bring his tomorrowland r and b superswift programming and funked up electro to Europe, America and beyond.
